About the Role:
Were on the hunt for a talented Junior Real Estate Attorney to join the hive on behalf of our client in their Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group, with the option to office in either Austin, TX or Nashville, TN. This role offers an exciting path to career growth and advancement within a collaborative team that focuses on acquisition, development, and large-scale community projects for builders and developers across the U.S.

Your Mission:

  • Real Estate Transactions: Handle acquisition, disposition, and development transactions for mixed-use, residential, resort, and commercial properties (real estate transactions, property law, contract management).
  • Legal Drafting: Apply strong writing skills to draft complex legal documents for real estate transactions (legal drafting, attention to detail).
  • Collaborative Practice: Work in a team-based environment, engaging with colleagues to deliver top-tier services to clients (team collaboration, communication).
  • Client Management: Build and maintain client relationships, providing legal guidance on real estate development matters (client relations, advisory).

Core Competencies:

  • Real Estate Law: Proven experience in property acquisition, development, and community planning.
  • Legal Drafting: Expertise in drafting detailed legal documents and contracts.
  • Client-Focused: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective client management.
  • Collaboration Skills: Team-oriented with a strong ability to work well in a collaborative legal setting.

What You Bring:

  • Qualifications: JD with 2-4 years of experience in real estate transactions, preferably in mixed-use, residential, or commercial developments.
  • Academic Excellence: Strong academic credentials; transcript required.
  • Writing Proficiency: Exceptional skills in complex legal drafting.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with clients effectively.

Skills Required:

  • Real Estate Transactions: Acquisition, disposition, development, mixed-use, and residential real estate.
  • Legal Drafting: Precision in drafting contracts and complex legal documentation.
  • Client Relations: Strong relationship-building skills for client engagement.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to assist in strategic planning for large development projects.

Certifications:

  • State Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in Texas or Tennessee, or eligible for admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
