Role Overview
As the Paralegal – Dispute Resolution & Risk, you’ll have a big mission. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, will be to provide legal and administrative support to address business needs and mitigate risk. This role prepares and reviews operational matters for legal risk and actively works to mitigate risk by championing the dispute resolution process, leads implementation and upkeep of Fair Housing Administration policies and related procedures, and ensures effective communication across departments and with third parties. A strong service mindset and professional representation of the company are essential. Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement.
- Manage internal case calendars, deadlines, and litigation dockets to ensure timely filings and compliance with court rules.
- Coordinate with outside counsel and internal business units to gather documents, information, and witness support.
- Review, organize, and summarize discovery materials and evidence.
- Assist with subpoena responses, regulatory inquiries, and internal investigations.
- Maintain litigation databases, case files, and matter management systems.
- Support e-discovery processes, including collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).
- Responds to legal and situational concerns that arise in the course of the property management operations.
- Serves as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, including property operations, for day-to-day legal issues that arise at the property level.
- Assists in responding to Fair Housing Act issues, identifies key deficiencies, and assists in engaging outside counsel, when necessary, to respond to any FHA-related matters.
- Works alongside and coordinates with employees in all departments throughout the company, third parties, vendors, and outside legal counsel on a variety of matters.
- Provides administrative support to the department.

You Have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Completion of a paralegal certificate program or juris doctorate
- Legal knowledge and 5+ years paralegal experience, preferably in the areas of litigation, Fair Housing, and Contracts.
- Significant legal research experience, familiarity with WestLaw, and strong written and oral communication skills.
