TEN is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the General Counsel. This role will play a key part in supporting corporate governance and entity management, while also assisting with litigation coordination and general legal administration. The ideal candidate can see the forest for the trees, demonstrating sound judgement, and manage multiple priorities across the function.

As a Paralegal, you will:

  • Maintain corporate records and organizational documents, entity charts and management databases, including the tracking and reporting of annual filings and other governance and compliance related requirements
  • Support preparation of board and shareholder resolutions, consents, and meeting materials
  • Provide litigation support, including management of case files, document production, legal holds, and general litigation administration
  • Draft basic contracts, forms, letters, and other legal documents as needed
  • Assist with maintaining TEN's trademark and patent portfolio
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting compliance with federal and provincial/state transportation, safety, and environmental regulations, and help coordinate internal compliance initiatives and training
  • Provide general legal operations and administrative support, including the management of legal templates and policy libraries
  • Provide other general administrative support to the General Counsel as required

To be successful you will need to have the following experience, skills and abilities:

  • 5+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, preferably within an in-house corporate legal department
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, contract management, and regulatory compliance processes
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems; familiarity with CSC or other entity management platforms is an asset
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or another asset-heavy, regulated industry is a plus
