
Responsibilities include:
- Review of all community and corporate level contracts and coordination of internal and external signatures based on signing authority parameters.
- Management of contract disputes and notices of termination.
- Preparation of letters of authorization, settlement agreements, waivers, bills of sale, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
- Organization and maintenance of corporate legal documents.
- Oversight of corporate annual report filings and license/permit renewals.
- Providing support for various corporate legal matters related to liens, easements, encroachments, condemnations, code violations, title issues and regulatory compliance.
- Management of litigation matters with outside counsel, excluding matters managed by our insurance carriers.
- Escalation of significant corporate risks to the CEO/CFO.
- Staying informed about evolving corporate governance requirements and legal benchmarks.
- Coordination with outside counsel for the protection and enforcement of the company’s intellectual property rights.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program
- Minimum of 5 years of corporate legal experience in the real estate or hospitality fields
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong written, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Investigative mind with strong research skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
