
Patent Attorney
STgenetics is seeking a Patent Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience and strong academic credentials. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical, electro-mechanical, software, or medical device fields. In addition, candidates should be motivated self-starters with excellent communication and writing skills as well as the ability to collaborate across multiple internal groups.
Essential Functions
· Draft and prosecute US and International patent applications
· Coordinate responses to foreign office actions
Job Requirements
Education
· Juris Doctor (JD)
· Engineering or advanced Science degree required, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering degrees preferred
Experience
· 2-6 years of patent prosecution experience
Other Requirements
· Ability to quickly grasp new concepts in electrical, electro-mechanical, and software engineering disciplines
· All candidates should be admitted to practice before the USPTO
· Strong work ethic
· Superb writing and organizational skills
· Willingness to work in the office
· Ability to balance multiple priorities
