The Firm’s services extend to the natural interplay between estate planning, business succession, matrimonial law, and related affinity practices. Founded in 2003, Harrison LLP focuses on providing sophisticated legal advice, exceptional client service, and innovative solutions.

What You Will Do:

As we continue to expand our services to include more integrated business planning for our clients, we are seeking talented and experienced lateral corporate attorneys (senior associates and partner level attorneys) to join our practice. These attorneys will assist our clients with (including but not limited to) the following:
  • Structure and negotiate business succession plans, including ownership transfers to family members, trusts, or other vehicles.
  • Advise high-net-worth individuals and business owners on corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation, shareholder/operating agreements, voting trusts, and governance.
  • Collaborate with estate planning attorneys to develop integrated strategies that align business structures with estate, tax, and philanthropic goals.
  • Represent clients in family business mergers & acquisitions, buy-sell agreements, and other transactional matters.
  • Provide general counsel services to family offices, closely held companies, and private investment entities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on long-term planning and value creation.
What You Will Need:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and in good standing to practice law in Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, Texas, and/or California.
  • 6+ years’ experience in corporate or business law in a law firm environment.
  • Familiarity with estate planning concepts, trust structures, and tax implications of business transactions.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in corporate structuring, governance, business succession, M&A, and family business transitions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience working with family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, or high net-worth clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters collaboratively and independently.
  • Portable book of business.
Why Join Harrison LLP?

You will have:
  • the opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team and work at the intersection of business, wealth, and legacy planning.
  • the ability to collaborate with experienced estate planning attorneys in a high touch, sophisticated, and relationship-driven environment.
  • the unique experience of working within a national law firm with the resources and support of a large firm but with a boutique level focus.
  • competitive, fair, and transparent compensation and partnership opportunities.
What We Offer:

This posting covers multiple attorney levels (e.g., Senior Associates, Senior Counsel, Partners). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and level and may vary by geographic location. If you are selected for further consideration, we will provide you with the salary range specific to your role level and location. We also offer a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
