Job Responsibilities
- Advisory to Business Units: Serve as a trusted legal advisor to stakeholders such as internal lines of business, leadership, and external counsel, providing timely and practical legal counsel on a wide range of banking matters, including consumer, commercial, and wealth management matters.
- Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, and third-party partnerships.
- Regulatory & Compliance Matters: Advise on compliance with banking regulations (e.g., Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC), the Bank Secrecy Act, and other relevant state and federal laws.
- Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis to provide actionable guidance on emerging legal issues and regulatory changes.
- Litigation Support: Assist with managing and responding to litigation, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries.
- Risk Management: Partner with risk management, compliance, and internal audit teams to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- General Legal Support: Conduct legal research, provide training to business units on legal and compliance issues, and support the Chief Legal Officer on special projects as needed.
- Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks.

Active member in good standing of a state bar - preferably Ohio.
Physical Requirements:
This position must be able to remain in a stationary position a maximum of 50% of the time, constantly operate a computer up to 50% of the time and be able to be in constant communication with coworkers, customers, and/or stakeholders to discuss and observe facts and data in order to exchange accurate information.
A flexible work arrangement is available for this role. Scheduled onsite hours required.
