What you'll do...
The Intellectual Property and Anti-Counterfeit team under Ecommerce Item Compliance is responsible for defining, enforcing, and promoting policies, programs, and products to ensure safe transactions and maintain trust across our marketplace business mitigating risks around Intellectual Property.
The position will report into the Senior Manager, Intellectual Property & Anti-Counterfeit and will partner with the Legal, Marketplaces, Customer Support, Omni Merchandising Corporate Affairs, Technology, other Ecommerce Item Compliance and Product teams.
The ideal candidate will be highly customer focused. The position requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial style, to become personally involved to whatever degree necessary to manage functional responsibility and key relationships. We are looking for a cross-functional team player who drives hard, operates with a sense of urgency, can handle controversy, and makes decisions firmly and objectively.
This position must also cultivate an environment where the candidate respects and adheres to company standards of integrity and ethics while developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals.
What you’ll do…
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and product management to address complex IP issues and develop effective solutions and ensure accuracy of documentation.
Oversee all aspects of tooling solutions, managing the tooling roadmap and working closely with our Product and Engineering teams to implement fixes.
Analyze existing practices related to IP management and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of processes to reflect changes in regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of IP protection measures, including proactive monitoring and continuous improvement of detection methodologies.
Serve as a subject matter expert on the IP Compliance program, offering insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation on investigation findings, trends, and outcomes for senior management and stakeholders.
What you’ll bring…
Bachelor’s degree in [relevant field, e.g., Law, Business Administration, Intellectual Property] or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience (3+ years) in IP infringement investigations, Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, preferably within an ecommerce marketplace or technology-driven environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and them in a marketplace setting.
Experience in performing risk analysis and making data-driven decisions to mitigate IP-related risks.
Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
Proficiency in document management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneTrust).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in using IP detection tools and platforms, with experience in monitoring and auditing these tools for accuracy and efficiency.
Strong analytical skills, including working with large data sets to solve business problems, and providing practical business insights (Advanced EXCEL, Google Sheets, etc.)
Experience working with JIRA, SalesForce, ServiceNow or other similar project management software.

Sunnyvale, California US-11349:The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
