The position of Attorney II in the Appellate Reporter’s office entails responsible legal work assisting the Reporter of Decisions in preparing opinions written by Supreme Court Justices and Court of Appeals Judges for release and publication in the Kansas Reports and the Kansas Court of Appeals Reports. The position requires in-depth legal analysis, writing, and editing.

- Consistent style and format throughout each opinion
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Strong proofreading skills
- Thorough knowledge of general grammar rules
- Familiarity with Bluebook and Redbook
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
