
Job Description
This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Washington, DC Field Division. This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Security Specialist (Division Security Officer (DSO)) for the Domestic Division GSU, and is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, execution, and management of the entire security program for the Division.
Duties As a Security Specialist, your typical work assignments may include: Serving as the technical expert that administers and maintains continuing responsibility and management of the Personnel Security Program by implementing DEA and local policies and procedures. Serving as the liaison for security related matters with other federal agencies or organizations (e.g., GSA, DHS, DoS, etc.). Processing requests for clearance/access, changes to position sensitivity designation, and investigations. Planning, developing, coordinating and implementing appropriate physical security/crime prevention programs and policies for the Division. Serving as the subject matter expert, responsible for the information security, COMSEC requirements, and compliance of all Division offices. Conducting physical security inspections of facilities. Salary- $101,401 - $156,755/year
