Position Summary: 

The Senior Paralegal - Contracts Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting our Commercial and Legal teams by managing, reviewing, and drafting a wide range of contracts and agreements. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive individual with deep knowledge of contract law, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex legal and business issues with precision and sound judgment.  The role will also support the legal department in other tasks such as corporate compliance for Kaleris’ global organization and related legal entities. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contract Management & Drafting: 

  • Draft, review, revise, and interpret a variety of contracts, including but not limited to NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, partnership agreements, sales orders and client contracts 

  • Ensure contracts are compliant with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable US and International laws 

  • Legal Research & Analysis: 

  • Conduct thorough research on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues as they pertain to contracts and support the team with comprehensive legal summaries 

  • Provide recommendations based on legal risk assessments, advising on contract-related best practices 

  • Contract Lifecycle Administration: 

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, including initiation, approval, execution, storage, tracking, and renewal processes 

  • Implement and improve contract management systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance 

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders 

  • Compliance and Policy Development: 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard contract templates and ensure they are consistently applied across the organization 

  • Support compliance efforts, including monitoring adherence to company policies, data privacy, and industry-specific regulations 

  • Support corporate compliance efforts in the global legal entities 

  • Training and Mentorship: 

  • Provide training to junior team members on contract processes, policies, and best practices 

  • Serve as a mentor, sharing expertise to foster team growth and knowledge 

Qualifications: 

  • Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business, or related field 

  • Paralegal certification is strongly preferred 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 5 years specializing in contract law, SaaS agreements, license agreements, service contracts, and vendor contracts 

  • Experience with International Law, OFAC Sanctions, Maritime law, and supply chain software is a plus 

 

  • Skills & Competencies: 

  • Deep understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management 

  • Proficiency in legal research tools, contract management software, and Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work
