Associate General Counsel

CFG Merchant Solutions, LLC and its affiliate CapFlow Funding Group Managers LLC are searching for an associate general counsel with 5+ years of experience to join our in-house legal team in our Glen Rock, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong legal acumen, superior negotiating skills, impeccable writing skills, and the ability to work autonomously while being the consummate team player. The role plays a critical part in shaping and implementing our legal strategies, supporting all compliance endeavors, supporting the in-house collections team, and handling various litigation and regulatory issues as they arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Draft, negotiate, and edit a variety of contracts.

· Review and analyze issues as they arise in various bankruptcy, collections, litigation, and regulatory compliance contexts, and assist the Chief Legal Officer in managing outside counsel in these areas.

· Provide legal guidance and support to our collections, reconciliation, and compliance department.

· Contribute to the development of legal and compliance strategies to protect the interests of the companies and their clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in good standing in New Jersey and New York required.

· Minimum of 5+ years' experience with contract, bankruptcy, and litigation. Experience in the areas of revenue-based financing, invoice factoring, and/or regulatory compliance is a plus.

· Proven track record of managing legal matter with minimal supervision.

· Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
