Clark County Government See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Clark County Public Defender Department is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Paralegal.
The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
· Creating and managing case files for attorneys
· Preparing and filing pleadings, legal documents, and correspondence with the court
· Acting as a liaison between courts and attorneys
· Completing legal research
· Supporting attorneys with trial preparation
· Filling in as needed with client support in the form of answering phone calls, taking care of walk-in clients and aiding support staff
· Answering phone calls from incarcerated clients
· Managing calendars for multiple attorneys
Applicants should be comfortable with standard administrative computer programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing programs such as Zoom. Education and/or experience in the legal field is preferred, but not mandatory.
Compensation: $46,534.00/year; Health/Dental/Vision insurance; Enrollment in PERF retirement plan.
Regular days and hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
