National law firm is seeking a labor and employment attorney with 1-2 years of civil litigation experience. Must have J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in at least one state. Competitive salary and benefits.

The ideal candidate has represented individuals who have experienced workplace discrimination, wage and hour violations, unpaid leave for qualified medical and family reasons, and employment and labor litigation.

You will be responsible for meeting with clients to ascertain their needs, choosing the most appropriate course of action, representing clients’ interests at meetings and in court, drafting and reviewing legal documents, assessing legal needs, and reviewing and analyzing evidence.

Position Duties Include:

• Communicate proactively with clients.
• Ensure confidentiality.
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters and advise clients on solutions.
• Manage a case from start to finish.
• Develop strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, and more.
• Conduct legal research.
• Prepare and review discovery, including third-party discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear as a representative in Court conferences, hearings, etc.
• Prepare for and lead in the trial.

Position Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the bar in at least one state
• 1-2 years of civil litigation experience
