Personal Injury Legal Assistant

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced pre-litigation and litigation environment and is passionate about advocating for injured clients.

What You'll Do

• Manage a full caseload of personal injury files from intake through settlement
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents
• Communicate directly with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel
• Order, organize, and summarize medical records and bills
• Calculate damages, liens, and prepare settlement statements
• Maintain case files and deadlines using firm case management software
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, and witness coordination
• Track statutes of limitations and ensure all deadlines are met
• Coordinate with out of state counsel on matters around the country 

What We're Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a legal assistant at a law firm
• • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a paralegal at a plaintiff's personal injury law firm (preferred)
• Experience handling auto accident, slip and fall, and/or premises liability claims
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required with sufficient relevant experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
