Job Description

Overview

The Fort Lauderdale, Florida office is seeking a business immigration paralegal. The Business Immigration Paralegal Team at LBBS requires an organized team player with a positive, can-do attitude and an ability to work well with time deadlines. The Specific job duties include:

 

Under supervision of Attorneys, prepare case materials and file nonimmigrant petitions and applications with USCIS including L-1s, H-1Bs, TNs, and O-1s;
Prepare and file immigrant petitions and applications including PERMs, I-130s, PERM based I-140 petitions, EB1A, B & C -based petitions and I-485 applications to adjust status;
Guide clients through the entire PERM process;
Track critical deadlines using immigration software system and prepare weekly caseload reports for each Attorney; and
Communicate regularly via phone and in writing with clients, beneficiaries, and various government agencies.

Responsibilities

Job Specifications/Requirements: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing high-volume visa processing and immigration applications/petitions.
  • Proficiency in USCIS/DOL electronic filing systems and electronic document management software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High-quality, meticulous work product
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues and problems and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Ability to organize work, establish priorities and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with lawyers and other staff.
  • Cooperative and works well within a team.

*Occasional overtime may be required.
