We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting transactional corporate attorneys and possess strong administrative and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and correspondence
- Maintain and organize legal files and documents
- Conduct legal research and assist with the preparation of legal briefs and memos
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, and other professionals in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal forms and documents
- Manage and track legal expenses and invoices
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the legal team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience supporting Corporate Transactional attorneys
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
