Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Reports to: General Counsel
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Department: Servco

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Risk Management Responsibilities
· Manage claims from all lines of coverage (Property, General Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation, Builders Risk, Cyber, etc.)
· Process all workers’ compensation reporting, provide support to associates dealing with workplace injuries and keep all workplace injury documentation and loss time up to date to run annual OSHA reports
· Run internal quarterly claims meetings
· Ensure Risk Management systems are up to date up to date with current locations, automobiles, associates, claims, etc.
· Assist with annual insurance renewals and expiring policy audits as requested (update spreadsheets, complete applications, run reports, allocations, billings, etc.)
· Serve as backup for any risk management related requests as needed
Paralegal Responsibilities
· Assist in drafting and preparing various commercial real estate documents for attorney review
· Develop, monitor and update closing and other checklists
· Coordinate and assist with transaction closings, including the preparation of closing documents and statements.
General support responsibilities
· Processes mail (including overnights)
· Assists or prepares correspondence
· Manage organization and filing of Risk Management files, physical and electronic files
· Makes photocopies, faxes and scans documents and performs other clerical functions
· Assist in communications related to assigned responsibilities
· Assists with various research projects and/or special projects
Qualifications:
· Ability to multi-task
· 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the commercial real estate department for a mid-to-large law firm
· Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
· Must have at least 3 years of strong experience as an insurance assistant or payroll administrator, with a willingness to learn new skills
· Ability to the highest level of confidentiality due to the personal nature of information position has access to
· A successful candidate will be a self-starter, who proactively seeks solutions to questions and issues
· Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office products
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong customer service skills
· Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities effectively

Compensation:
The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. This range is subject to local, state and regional dynamics and may be adjusted up or down depending on market conditions.
Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time
Supervisory Responsibility:
· This position does not have any supervisory responsibility
Promotional Opportunity:
Associates with more than twelve (12) months of service may request consideration to transfer to other jobs as vacancies become available and will be considered along with other applicants. To be considered, Associates must have a satisfactory performance record and have no disciplinary actions during the last twelve (12) months. Management retains the discretion to make exceptions to the policy.
