About Us
We are a growing personal injury law firm seeking a highly skilled Personal Injury Paralegal with experience in complex litigation and case timelines. This is a part-time, remote position (15-20 hours per week) with the potential to expand based on firm needs and performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Case Management: Support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from pre-litigation through trial, ensuring all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Litigation Support: Assist with drafting pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and trial preparation materials.
- Timeline Management: Track and manage case deadlines, statutes of limitations, discovery cutoffs, and court dates to ensure compliance.
- Document Review & Organization: Organize medical records, evidence, and case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Client Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, medical providers, and experts to obtain necessary documentation and provide case updates.
- Legal Research: Conduct research on case law, statutes, and personal injury regulations as needed.
- Trial Preparation: Prepare trial binders, witness lists, and exhibits, and assist in coordinating logistics for hearings and depositions.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal, particularly in complex litigation.
- Strong understanding of California personal injury laws, court procedures, and e-filing systems.
- Proficiency in case management software (e.g., Clio, Filevine, SmartAdvocate, or similar).
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with medical records, discovery responses, and litigation timelines.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities within a part-time schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trial preparation experience or significant involvement in litigation support.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred but not required.
- Experience coordinating expert witnesses, medical professionals, and accident reconstructionists.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
