This is a full-time, on-site position in Casper, Wyoming

What You'll Do: 

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in a timely manner to support the needs of legal, environmental, insurance and security personnel and to meet required deadlines.
  • Perform high-level review of written work and correspondence to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and quality of written materials by editing, revising, and formatting content to meet style standards with error-free grammar and punctuation.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate records, corporate books, contracts and other documents in written and/or electronic format as appropriate. Disseminate information to internal and external parties as required.
  • Establish and maintain files of correspondence, reports, corporate records, contracts, and other documents of a highly technical nature. Use sound judgment in handling information and material of a confidential nature.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, management, outside counsel and other individuals inside and outside the company. Exhibit a professional and courteous manner in dealing with others, and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • Perform routine word processing, filing, data entry, mail processing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Review Federal Regulations and monitor federal cases electronically.
  • Assist attorneys in compiling, organizing and analyzing production materials for ongoing litigation.  Coordinate with clients and outside counsel on document production and dates and deadlines for discovery and other aspects of litigation.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars and preparing meeting agendas. 
  • Maintain client confidentiality. 


What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

  • Two to three (2-3) years of experience in an office support function, preferably legal or oil and gas-related; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Strong phone skills, records and communication tasks needed.
  • Ability to work under general supervision within a framework of established procedures and developing procedures, demonstrating accuracy, flexibility, and sound decision making.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technology skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

 

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

  • Legal assistant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.  
  • Data entry, proofreading skills, and the ability to produce accurate work within regular deadlines.
  • Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain Notary Public commission.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
