
Trueline is seeking a Supervising Attorney to lead their South Carolina team remotely. This is a key leadership opportunity for a litigation expert ready to oversee a regional practice, guide legal strategy, and manage day-to-day operations for judicial foreclosure matters.
What You’ll Do as the Supervising Attorney:
- Lead a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff in foreclosure and litigation matters
- Ensure compliance with federal and investor guidelines (FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac)
- Manage litigation strategy, client risk, and cost controls
- Direct departmental operations, P&L planning, and performance
- Collaborate with internal teams (Title, Bankruptcy, HR, IT) for seamless legal and business execution
- Represent clients at hearings, trials, and mediations
- Support business development efforts, including client presentations and legal thought leadership
Must-Haves as the Supervising Attorney:
- JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice in South Carolina
- At least 8 years of litigation and courtroom experience, including default servicing (foreclosure, REO, title, bankruptcy)
- Prior experience managing legal teams and operational budgets
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Proficiency with legal tech tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Nice-to-Haves as the Supervising Attorney:
- Additional bar admissions in AL, GA, or TN
- Experience with complex civil litigation and regulatory compliance (CFPB, OCC)
- Comfort participating in marketing or industry events
- Prior work in a multi-state legal environment
