What You'll Do:
CoreWeave is seeking a dynamic Associate General Counsel for Global Data Center Supply to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will provide strategic legal counsel and transactional support for the sourcing, purchase, procurement, and financing of hardware and infrastructure components essential to CoreWeave’s entire global network of hyperscale AI data centers.
About The Role:
This role is critical in enabling CoreWeave’s scaled expansion and ongoing operations by supporting our business with legal expertise across complex global supply chain transactions involving hardware, servers, semiconductors, networking equipment, and related technologies for both U.S. and international markets. This is a unique opportunity to shape one of the world’s fastest growing and most advanced AI infrastructure companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Transactions: Lead the legal support for sourcing and procurement of critical data center hardware, including servers, GPUs, storage, networking equipment, and other internal systems and support.
- Contract Negotiations: Draft, review, and negotiate supply, vendor, and OEM contracts with domestic and global suppliers, including master purchase agreements, SOWs, and SLAs.
- Equipment Financing: Structure, negotiate, and advise on complex equipment financing arrangements.
- Cross-Border Trade and Tax: Advise senior business clients on trade compliance (export/import), tax considerations, tariffs, and international commercial terms impacting supply transactions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with global supply chains, including operational continuity, compliance and enforcement risks.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with CoreWeave’s procurement, supply chain, engineering, operations, finance, cross functional legal, finance and tax teams to provide practical and strategic legal advice to business leadership. Manage outside counsel support as needed.
- Process Improvement: Help develop best practices, purchasing and procurement templates, and scalable processes to support growth while ensuring legal compliance and efficiency.
- Executive Legal Support: Act as trusted legal adviser for senior leadership and C-Level executives.
Who You Are:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 8-10+ years of legal experience at a law firm or in-house legal team (or a combination).
- Strong business acumen and experience in supply chain, hardware procurement, vendor negotiations, and equipment financing in the hyperscale AI data center infrastructure space.
- Negotiation experience with marquee vendors and OEMs across the global data center hardware, compute, networking and equipment ecosystem.
- Knowledge of international trade compliance, customs, export controls, and tax structuring as it pertains to global supply chains.
- Prior international transactional purchasing/procurement experience including UK, EU, ME and APAC
- Excellent communication, drafting, and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to operate effectively with a proactive mindset, speed, and agility to deliver outcomes with aggressive timelines in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Wondering if you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.
- You love to owning the legal side of high-stakes, global transactions—structuring, negotiating, and closing complex procurement and financing deals that keep a hyperscale business running.
- You’re curious about how global supply chains, data center infrastructure, and international trade laws intersect to power the next wave of AI. You dig into the technical and regulatory nuance, not just the legalese.
- You’re an expert in avigating intricate hardware procurement, cross-border trade, and equipment financing deals. You've led negotiations with marquee OEMs, managed legal risk in fast-evolving environments, and have deep experience working across U.S. and international markets.
