Confidential Investigator - Office of Legal Affairs

In this role, you will be responsible for the investigation and management of complex, confidential sexual abuse and misconduct allegations. Conduct complainant, witness, and subject interviews, collaborate with a multi disciplinary team, analyze video surveillance and other forensic evidence, and draft comprehensive reports of findings. You'll perform investigations with integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and posses the ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost discretion.

This is a full time, day shift position working 4 days at our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan and the ability for 1 day remote.

Preferred Criteria

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital locations throughout New York State
  • Training and experience in trauma-informed investigative practices, including but not limited to forensic interview training
  • Experience leading investigations collaboratively across disciplines

Required Criteria

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and/or a minimum 10 years of satisfactory full-time experience as law enforcement officer conducting sex crimes, child abuse, domestic violence, or other relevant criminal investigations, or equivalent investigative experience in industrial or governmental agency
  • Ability to conduct trauma-informed interviews of adults and minors, including young children and those with disabilities and/or medical conditions affecting mentation
  • Ability to complete comprehensive written reports detailing the results of each investigation
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Experience with, or ability to learn and effectively use computer systems including EPIC, various CCTV systems, case management platforms, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and Zoom

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

$114,000-$157,500/Annual
