This position is located in the Patient Registration section of the Business Office at the Haskell Indian Health Center located in Lawrence, Kansas. The primary purpose of this position is to perform entry level patient registration data entry and document processing tasks in support of Business Office operations. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Duties
- Interviews patients to obtain pertinent patient registration information.
- Assists patients in completing new or updated forms.
- Responsible for verifying eligibility for all patients seeking services.
- Obtains signatures for files on required form for alternate resources and purchased referred care prior to patients being seen in the clinic.
- Maintains, key-enters, updates and verifies all alternate resources data necessary for patient registration and for accurate billing.

Background Investigation Requirement:
This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
A background investigation is a standard process used by the Federal Government to verify an individual's identity, employment history, education, and other relevant information to determine suitability for Federal service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0962-03:
