We are currently seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join the litigation department in our Bridgewater, NJ office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking for hands-on litigation experience, meaningful courtroom exposure, and long-term professional growth within a supportive team environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience defending New Jersey litigation matters from inception through resolution. This role offers immediate responsibility and active participation in all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Attend court appearances and ADR proceedings
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial and appeals.
- Communicate directly with clients and insurance carrier clients
- Maintain accurate time entries and litigation management documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of insurance defense and/or litigation experience
- Experience in premises liability, trucking/auto, construction (personal injury and defect), dram shop, and other personal injury/property damage matters preferred.
- Admission to New Jersey State and Federal Courts required
- Trial experience and ability to independently manage a caseload is a plus
- Working knowledge of New Jersey e-filing systems (New York e-filing a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) within a virtual work platform for file handling and case management
- Experience with legal billing and timekeeping systems, including accurate entry of billable time
- Strong scheduling and calendar management skills
- Ability to work independently with strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities in a digital environment
- Team-oriented with a flexible, solution-focused attitude

Salary Range: $85,000 – $130,000 annually (Commensurate with experience, litigation skill level, and prior insurance defense background).
This position requires in-person practice initially. Following a mandatory in-office onboarding period, a discretionary hybrid work schedule is available.
