Job Duties
- Prepare and edit client invoices following company and client rules
- Handle electronic billing (e-billing)
- Check billing data for accuracy, including time and expenses
- Work with attorneys and staff to fix billing issues
- Answer client questions about invoices and payments
- Process write-offs according to company policy
- Manage complex billing tasks (discounts, split billing, electronic invoices)
- Handle a high volume of invoices each month
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients
- Review billing documents for accuracy
- Create new billing formats when needed
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly billing reports
- 3+ years of billing experience in a AM law 200 firm preferred
- Experience with billing software (Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule (may include evenings or weekends)
