
Default Servicing/Foreclosure First Legal- Legal Assistant
Opportunity in Tampa, Florida for a highly motivated self-starter committed to assisting the team with a multitude of responsibilities. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator.? Strong Customer Service skills and strong computer literacy with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and various software applications are a must.. Full time hourly position, pay based on experience. Hybrid schedule available after 1-2 years, depending upon performance. Flexible hours available. Experience preferred but not required.
Job Duties include:
- Request Title at time of referral
- Request Collateral (Notes and Mortgages) at time of referral
- Update questionnaires in CMS system as needed
- Complete workload in vendor systems (ICE/Black Knight, Tempo, etc) for Lost Note Affidavits, Assignment of Mortgages, Title Received, Verifications of Complaint sent for filing, Verifications filed
- Read legal description with another team member to ensure accuracy
- Pulling of any recorded documents from county sites as needed
- SCRA/PACER search
- Request heir searches/death certificates
- Works hand in hand with the Collateral department
- Other duties as will be assigned
Qualifications:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 product
- Experience working with SharePoint
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task proficiently and effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Team player willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- Knowledgeable of providing excellent customer service
