Associate Attorney – Transportation Practice (Hybrid, California-Based)
A well-established civil litigation defense firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Transportation practice in the Los Angeles area. This hybrid role offers meaningful litigation experience and a clear path to career advancement. Candidates must reside in California.
We’re looking for attorneys who are proactive, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality legal work. In this role, you’ll take the lead on cases from day one, supported by experienced colleagues. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys seeking to grow their careers in civil litigation and transportation law.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution
- Draft motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
- Conduct depositions, attend court appearances, and argue motions
- Communicate with clients and provide strategic case updates
- Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy
- Participate in settlement negotiations and trial preparation
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in transportation matters
- Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to client needs in a fast-paced environment
- State courtroom experience strongly preferred
- Trial experience a plus but not required
