Duties If selected, you will serve as the Supervisory Information Technology (IT) Specialist for the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Western District of Washington. You will be responsible for independently planning, designing, executing, and supervising information technology programs, projects, and work involving a variety of IT specialty areas which support the information management needs of the District. Typical work assignments will include: Performing advanced and complex system designs, development, testing, and implementation of substantially new applications of IT technology to meet the specialized, unique, or unprecedented needs of the USAO; Maintaining district-wide responsibility for testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance, and management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in data, voice and/or video format; Managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment; Implementing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data; Monitoring the functionality, security, and integrity of internet services, as well as managing internet servers; Providing customer services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to user requirements; and Planning the work to be accomplished by subordinate IT staff, including setting goals and priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work.
