Job Description

We are recruiting to hire an experienced paralegal/case manager for our mass torts section. The person in this role will be responsible for managing a large volume of Camp Lejeune water contamination cases involving complex issues of fact and law, and that involve serious injuries or death. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a large volume of cases, be able to contact multiple clients daily, and have an unwavering desire to provide the best service to our clients. What The Day Looks Like:

  • Providing excellent service for our Camp Lejeune clients - this includes everything from being the first point of contact if they have any questions and providing updates on their case (approximately 50% of daily responsibilities)
  • Handling a high-volume case load of Camp Lejeune water contamination cases
  • Administrative tasks such as filing/scanning documents, follow ups, and maintaining files
  • Locating and extracting specific data points from medical records and military service records
  • Updating and amending administrative claims files with the US Department of Navy for Camp Lejeune cases
  • Maintain regular communications with various co-counsel on Camp Lejeune matters


We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has at least 2-4 years of relevant legal experience
  • Is extremely detail oriented and organized, maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a large caseload of Camp Lejeune cases
  • Enjoys speaking with clients from all walks of life and providing excellent service - significant client interaction is a core part of this role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, including Excel skills
  • Experience uploading documents to government portals and online systems
  • Must reside within NC or SC, or within reasonable driving distance.to a NC James Scott Farrin office
  • Honorable military service a strong plus
