The Role:
- Builds client relationships by staying familiar with cases, assisting in client meetings, and maintaining updated client contact information.
- Manages calendars, schedules meetings, arranges travel, and handles mail distribution.
- Creates, edits, copies, scans, and distributes documents; processes electronic filings and prepares documents for mailing or delivery.
- Enters daily timekeeping, edits monthly billing memoranda, creates transmittal letters, and prepares expense reports.
- Maintains client/matter logs, supports other legal assistants as needed, and ensures proper record-keeping in the firm's management system
Background Profile:
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- Strong document editing/preparation skills
- Good with details, organized, multi-tasker
- Effective communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
