Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation Associate - Washington, DC

Troutman Pepper Locke's Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation group is seeking a talented Associate to join our team, with a preference for our Washington, DC office, though we are open to other locations. We are looking for candidates with 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience who are ready to take on sophisticated work with an emphasis in insurance and reinsurance. In this role, you will work alongside experienced partners and associates handling a broad range of disputes in state and federal courts. Candidates with prior deposition experience and a background in general commercial litigation with exposure to insurance coverage matters are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will bring excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload. Prior exposure to insurance coverage or commercial disputes is a plus, but not a requirement. We are seeking someone with strong academic credentials who demonstrates superior research and writing ability, and who is detail-oriented, adaptable, motivated, and receptive to innovative thinking. The successful candidate can work independently with minimal supervision while remaining collaborative as part of a team. All applicants must be licensed and in good standing in the state where they practice.

The salary range for this position is $235,000 - $295,000 dependent on relevant years of experience.
