What You'll Do:
- Work at the forefront of innovation, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in cutting-edge fields like biologics, gene therapy, and diagnostics.
- Engage in strategic counseling, helping clients develop robust intellectual property portfolios and navigate the complex landscape of regulatory exclusivities and patent protection.
- Conduct thorough freedom-to-operate, patentability, and due diligence analyses to support corporate transactions and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with a global network to manage foreign patent prosecution and craft compelling responses to the USPTO.
- Partner with litigation teams to provide technical expertise in patent enforcement and defense.
What You'll Bring:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in a State Bar.
- Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- 1-5 years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly within a biotechnology or life sciences practice.
- An advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant life sciences field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics.
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.
