
Under the general direction of the Chief Counsel and an Assistant Chief Counsel, the Attorney III will perform a range of complex duties in connection with legal issues raised by the Department’s programs, focusing primarily on the Department’s Division of Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM), which regulates oil and gas production statewide. As an Attorney III you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal issues related to regulatory enforcement, environmental review in connection with permitting, and implementation of new legislation.

Working Conditions
This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person in Sacramento at least two days per week at 715 P Street, MS 1906, Sacramento, CA 95814 . Alternative work locations will not be considered.
