Job Description

Nexstar Media Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our Legal team based in Irving, Texas. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Legal Department, with primary responsibility for managing the company’s contract management system. The paralegal also assists attorneys with legal documentation, litigation tracking, subpoena responses, and other routine administrative tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment while serving as a key resource for contract-related processes across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Format, review, and upload new company contracts into the contract management system
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, ensuring consistency and data integrity
  • Add, modify, and remove user access within the contract database
  • Provide first-level support to internal users regarding system access, functionality, and troubleshooting
  • Train new and existing users to use the contract management system and related workflows
  • Assist attorneys with administrative support, including document management, file organization, and subpoena responses
  • Support litigation tracking and maintenance of related records including issuance and tracking of legal holds.
  • Draft routine legal correspondence and agreements at the direction of attorneys
  • Provide general administrative support to the Legal Department
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and track large volumes of data accurately
  • Proficiency with contract management systems and legal document databases
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Previous experience in a corporate legal department preferred
  • Familiarity with copyright claims, intellectual property matters, or media-related legal issues is a plus
