Summary:
Hancock Daniel & Johnson is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney or Senior Counsel (approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience) to advise clients on healthcare law, including government and commercial reimbursement and appeals; government and internal investigations, compliance program development and support and other healthcare regulatory matters.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensure to practice in one or more states
- Experience in administrative law proceedings
- Healthcare regulatory experience
- Experience with commercial and government reimbursement
- Knowledge of federal regulations including STARK Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, the Fraud and Abuse Statute, and the False Claims Act
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively on a team
- A drive for excellence and strong customer service
- Desire to develop business relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a law firm or in a healthcare related governmental agency such as CMS, OIG, OCR or U.S. Attorney Office
- Experience working directly with a variety of healthcare providers and suppliers
- Government enforcement experience a plus
