Who You’ll Work With
The Legal, Compliance, Regulatory and Government Affairs department is a diverse team comprised of attorneys and other professionals providing high quality advisory and transactional support with integrity and objectivity across all parts of the organization. The team ensures an operating environment that minimizes legal, regulatory and reputational risks and complies with all laws and regulations and Corebridge policies and procedures. About The Role
Reporting to the Chief Litigation Counsel, the Director of Litigation Paralegal Services will have the opportunity to lead an experienced, talented team of paralegals and will be responsible for supporting and improving the provision of paralegal services and use of tools and technologies in order to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the team; identifying technology driven improvement solutions for the centralized storage of extensive litigation matters data, and create and automate data analytics reporting; and, oversee the development of a robust process for the accurate and timely completion of numerous reports due on different intervals throughout the year, including budgeting and forecasts. Responsibilities
- Leadership and professional development of the litigation paraprofessional team
- Analysis of the litigation attorneys’ utilization of paralegals and make improvement and efficiency recommendations
- Development and ownership of a process governing the completion of all internal reports, that serve various stakeholders. And, to that end, this role requires a proactive relationship with the Legal Operations Team, Finance and other functional areas.
- Project & process management; plan, coordinate and oversee multifaceted initiatives in a standardized manner, develop standard processes and procedures
- Utilize technology to automate and standardize key workflows
- Planning, selection, procurement and/or development of technology tools
- Administration, training, and adoption
- Develop roadmap for efficiency and innovation
- Develop dashboards to monitor firm performance against outcomes; visualize and analyze data; report on metrics and key performance indicators; and develop new metric reports for business leadership consumption
- Planning/conducting paralegal meetings and trainings
- Drive a culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, diversity and inclusion, lead through example
- Manage law firm matters in Ascent, ensuring forecast and actual spend is accurate

Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of paralegal litigation experience, preferably both at a law firm and in-house.
- 5+ years of experience as a supervisor to other paralegal staff in a law firm or corporate environment
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification
- Power user of Excel; Power BI (or Tableau); and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with all levels within the Desire to learn and master new Company provided applications and technology
- Knowledge of and experience with budgeting process and reporting
- Self-starter initiative with the ability to meet and exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Proven problem-solving skills that demonstrate creativity and commitment to Corebridge core values of integrity, collaboration, and diversity of perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to balance thoughtful decision making with careful and timely execution
- Excellent collaboration skills and a willingness to “pitch in” to support, enrich and strengthen the greater Corebridge Legal & Compliance Department
- Ability to develop creative solutions to various types of problems; ability to work under pressure and deal with very large volumes of work with demanding deadlines.
- Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and work within the organization to obtain results within the desired time frames
Work Location
This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
