Salary Range: $51,000 - $60,000

Working Environment: Hours: Monday Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Primary Function:
To help develop and implement intelligence-driven prosecution strategies designed to enhance public safety in Chicago.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze social media evidence collected by SOMEX to facilitate prosecutions.
- Prepare reports and materials on recent crime trends and areas of concern to the SAO.
- Creation of custom tables, charts, and maps utilizing information from multiple databases
- Develop new tools to automate tasks that currently consume significant prosecutorial resources and identify existing processes that could benefit from the use of data and analytics.
- Collaborate and work closely with the Chicago Police Department, federal agencies, US Attorney's Office, community stakeholders, and other ASAs throughout the office.
- Monitor performance metrics and conduct additional research.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and systems.
- Combine open-source digital evidence into briefing packets for ASAs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications required.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, sociology, public policy, statistics, computer science, or a closely related field required.
- Strong interest in social policy required.
- Strong quantitative skills required.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree preferred.
