
Dauphin County Domestic Relations is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Paralegal. The employee in this position is responsible for performing legal support to the IV-D Attorney in administrative Court Unit functions, paternity, and child support matters and hearings. Work is performed with considerable independence in a high-paced environment under the supervision of the IV-D Attorney. Duties primarily include analyzing legal matters, drafting legal documents, performing legal research, reviewing reports, responding and collaborating with the public, staff and other agencies. Ensures case management and legal proceedings are in adherence to the standards and laws prescribed by Federal, State and County authorities.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Graduation from an American Bar Association approved school with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Legal Assisting/Paralegal.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a professional office environment; must have adequate knowledge of computer skills; and be capable of operating general office machines.
The starting hourly rate is 20.13/$41,870 annually.
