Property and Liability Coverage Practice Group
At QPWB, our Property and Liability Coverage Practice Group is composed of seasoned attorneys dedicated to assisting a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel and analysis regarding insurance policy coverage issues, primarily in the areas of property and general liability. This position involves interpreting and evaluating complex insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and representing insurers in coverage litigation, including declaratory judgment actions.
- Analyze and interpret commercial and residential property and general liability insurance policies.
- Draft detailed and well-reasoned coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters.
- Advise insurers and clients on coverage obligations and potential exposure.
- Handle and manage coverage litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, including depositions and hearings.
- Stay current on relevant legal developments, case law, and regulatory changes affecting property and liability coverage.
- Collaborate with claims professionals, risk managers, and other attorneys within the firm or insurance companies.
- Participate in internal training and external client presentations on insurance coverage issues.

What You’ll Bring

- Admitted to practice law.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience in litigation management and courtroom proceedings preferred.
