Paralegal (Civil Litigation) - Hybrid (30 hours/week)

We are seeking a Paralegal (30 hours per week) to join our Providence, RI office in a flexible hybrid role. A Day in the Life of a Paralegal

Your day begins with organizing and reviewing case files, ensuring everything is in place for attorneys to hit the ground running. You'll draft and prepare pleadings, manage discovery requests, and coordinate subpoenas. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with attorneys to summarize depositions, analyze documents, and keep cases on track with deadlines. Your attention to detail, tech skills, and ability to juggle priorities will help drive our success.

What Matters Most

To thrive in this role, you should have a strong interest in litigation. Success in this position depends on clear communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of Rhode Island court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
  • Experience drafting and preparing pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions
  • Proven ability to review, analyze, and summarize depositions, and other key documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF editing tools (Bates stamping, file merging/splitting), and case management software
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, track deadlines, and stay organized
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and court personnel
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity document management best practices
  • Strong research abilities, including use of legal research platforms (e.g., Lexis, Westlaw)
