Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting accurate and complete financial reporting for specific legal entities and consolidating results. Key responsibilities include facilitating month-end close, posting journal entries, monitoring and resolving out-of-balance intercompany receivables/payables, reviewing the trial balance to address anomalies, and preparing internal/external reporting with commentaries. Job expectations include planning and preparing for each monthly close cycle and the timely execution of all required tasks while maintaining a strong control environment.

Part of the Corporate Controllers Group, Reg W Finance team, this job is responsible for supporting accurate and complete financial reporting for Regulation W covered transactions across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include facilitating daily, monthly, quarterly reporting, monitoring and resolving variances, reviewing the 23A database to address anomalies, and preparing internal/external reporting with commentaries. Job expectations include planning and preparing for each reporting cycle and the timely execution of all required tasks while maintaining a strong control environment.  Also exposure to enterprise affiliate list and various projects, audits and examinations.  Works with central 23A database and emerging tech reporting tools.  

Reg W is a Federal banking regulation that applies globally to the Company. It is designed to limit certain covered transactions (as defined in the Reg W Policy) between Banks and Affiliates in order to protect a Bank from exposure to losses by its Affiliates. Reg W also governs transactions between Banks and Third Parties that may benefit an Affiliate (attribution). 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data providers to review, validate, and confirm Reg W covered transactions
  • Prepare and submit Reg W periodic reports by line of business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide and review analysis on variances and commentary at monthly meetings and daily reports to stakeholders
  • Review daily submissions to the Reg W 23A database ensuring exposure is captured between Bank(s) and Affiliate(s)
  • Identify and implement process standardization and improvements.  Emerging tech solutions encouraged.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Good presentation skills

Desired Qualifications:
