We are looking for a litigation paralegal to work in our personal injury law firm. The ideal candidate would have an attention to detail, experience in personal injury law and/or litigation, and a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience. A paralegal certificate would be preferred but not required.
This position will be based in the OakBrook office but must be willing and able to work at the downtown office from time to time.
The core responsibilities are the following:
Document Drafting: Prepare complaints, answers, interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas, and deposition notices.
Medical Record Management: Order, track and summarize comprehensive medical charts, billing statements, and lien information.
Discovery Support: Formulate written discovery responses, gather supporting evidence, and compile document production packets.
Client & Witness Liaison: Conduct regular status updates and work with client to prepare discovery.
Docketing & Scheduling: Manage the attorney’s calendar, track critical statutes of limitations, and schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings.
Trial Preparation: Organize trial binders, draft exhibit lists, coordinate witness attendance, and manage courtroom electronics or logistics.
First interview will be telephone interview and then face to face interview. if chosen for the second round.
