File/Copy Clerk

Under direct supervision, the File/Copy Clerk will be performing various clerical tasks, including copying and sorting legal documents for court filings, operating office equipment and completing general office work.  

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: 

• Copies, scans, collates legal documents in preparation for attorney signature.
• Creates court labels.
• Mail legal pleadings to assigned courts.
• Performs data entry on accounts, as required.
• Notates an electronic file for next legal action.
• Performs other clerical duties as assigned to support the Case Management legal processing team.
• Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
• Additional duties as requested or required.

 Qualifications:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Data entry and office work experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Experience handling office equipment

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting at $17.00 hour+, based upon experience
