- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. Possession of these qualifications does not ensure that an applicant will be interviewed. Applications will be reviewed in comparison with all other applications received.
Knowledge of: Legal office work, procedures and terminology; legal forms and documents.
Ability to: Prepare reports and correspondence with minimum direction; establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional personnel, associates, and the general public; type at 45 w.p.m. (net).
Education and Experience: Three years of experience in legal stenography or legal office work, or one year of experience as a Legal Secretary I in a District Attorney's Office; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.- SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential Duties require the following physical skills and work requirements:
Requires the ability to exert a small amount of physical effort in sedentary to light work involving moving from one area of the office to another; some positions require sufficient hand/eye coordination to perform semi-skilled repetitive movements, such as typing, filing, data entry, shorthand, and/or use of calculators, ten-key adding machine, or other office equipment or supplies.
