About the Role:We are seeking an accomplished Family Law Attorney to join a highly respected and growing Family Law practice. This opportunity is ideal for a Partner or Senior Associate with a proven track record of handling sophisticated family law matters and the ability to originate and maintain a portable book of business. Responsibilities:- Manage a sophisticated family law practice, including high-net-worth divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, and post-divorce enforcement matters.
- Represent clients throughout all phases of litigation, including temporary orders, mediation, hearings, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial.
- Develop and execute strategic litigation plans tailored to each client's legal and personal objectives.
- Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, argue contested motions, and represent clients in court proceedings.
- Draft and negotiate complex marital settlement agreements, premarital and postnuptial agreements, parenting plans, and related family law documents.
- Advise clients on complex financial matters involving business interests, executive compensation, retirement assets, trusts, and real property.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional legal service and trusted counsel.
- Originate new business and continue developing an established family law practice.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions for clients.
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth and development of the Family Law practice.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
- Minimum of 8 years of family law experience, preferably at the senior associate or partner level.
- Demonstrated success handling complex family law litigation from inception through trial.
- Proven ability to independently manage a sophisticated family law caseload.
- Established portable book of business with demonstrated client origination experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent courtroom advocacy, negotiation, legal writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong business development mindset with the ability to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
- Passion for family law and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
- Board Certification in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization is highly preferred.
- Experience representing high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, and professionals.
- Extensive trial experience involving complex custody disputes, business valuations, and significant marital estates.
- Leadership experience mentoring associates or leading legal teams.
- Established relationships within the Texas legal and business communities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to expand and grow a thriving family law practice.
- Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary legal practices to provide strategic client solutions.
