Duties This position is located in the Federal Prison Industries, Financial Management Branch, Service Center located at the Correctional Institution in Lexington, Kentucky. Responsible for the completion and support of all accounting requirements for the consolidated accounts receivable and payable processing unit. Responsible for verifying and sub-certify all payment vouchers for accuracy and accurate accounting classification and maintenance of all consolidated payment processes including but not limited to Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) System payments, Purchase Card, consignment and special processes. Responsible for the maintenance of the double entry accounting cycle which consists of the following essential operations: posting, journalizing, determining necessary end of period adjustments, reconciliations, preparation of worksheets, adjust and closing accounts receivable and payable balances, analysis and reporting. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis. Salary- $56,623 - $81,480/year
