(QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm, is seeking a Florida-licensed Associate Attorney to join our First Party Property litigation team in the Daytona Beach office. About the Role
The Associate Attorney will handle a high-volume caseload of First Party Property matters, working closely with partners and associates on litigation strategies from pre-suit through trial. QPWB is open to candidates who have strong litigation foundations and are eager to grow in this practice area.
Key Responsibilities
Manage First Party Property cases from inception to resolution
Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and other filings
Prepare pleadings, discovery requests, and responses
Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, adjusters, and experts
Attend hearings, mediations, and inspections
Analyze insurance claims, policy coverage, and case value assessments
Communicate with clients, carriers, experts, opposing counsel, and the court
Assist in trial preparation, including exhibits, witness outlines, and trial strategy
Maintain compliance with deadlines, billing requirements, and firm standards
Qualifications
Active Florida Bar license required
1–5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in First Party Property or insurance defense
Strong understanding of Florida civil litigation procedures and courtroom practice
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Professional communication skills with clients, courts, and colleagues
A proactive, organized, and detail‑oriented work style
