Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm, is seeking a Florida-licensed Associate Attorney to join our First Party Property litigation team in the Daytona Beach office. About the Role

The Associate Attorney will handle a high-volume caseload of First Party Property matters, working closely with partners and associates on litigation strategies from pre-suit through trial. QPWB is open to candidates who have strong litigation foundations and are eager to grow in this practice area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage First Party Property cases from inception to resolution

  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and other filings

  • Prepare pleadings, discovery requests, and responses

  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, adjusters, and experts

  • Attend hearings, mediations, and inspections

  • Analyze insurance claims, policy coverage, and case value assessments

  • Communicate with clients, carriers, experts, opposing counsel, and the court

  • Assist in trial preparation, including exhibits, witness outlines, and trial strategy

  • Maintain compliance with deadlines, billing requirements, and firm standards

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license required

  • 1–5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in First Party Property or insurance defense

  • Strong understanding of Florida civil litigation procedures and courtroom practice

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

  • Professional communication skills with clients, courts, and colleagues

  • A proactive, organized, and detail‑oriented work style
