Steel Dynamics
Reports directly to SVP while supporting employees in Treasury, Risk, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Investor Relations.
Legal Assistant duties:
- Collaborating closely with corporate legal counsel, redact, review and organize legal documents.
- Track and coordinate law firm activity reporting, ethics certifications, etc.
- Assist with execution, delivery and coordination of legal documents, and files.
- Assist in responding to discovery requests.
- Handling legal entity qualifications; working with various state government offices.
- Corporate recordkeeping.
Administrative assistance duties including:
- Scheduling and maintaining calendars.
- Preparing presentations and organizing materials for internal and external meetings
- Maintain and organize paper and electronic files.
- Prepare and/or review correspondence.
- Assist treasury accountant with tracking of treasury related items, letter of credit, guarantees, etc.
- Miscellaneous administrative duties, schedule conference rooms, prepare mailings, organize lunches, etc.
- Serve as event planning for large meetings.
- Serve in backup pool of coverage for other administrative employees.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in legal, administrative, general office activities required.
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred - Certificate in Paralegal Studie
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or similar programs required.
- Knowledge of legal, record retention.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
