Please note: The working hours for this position are: Tuesday through Saturday: 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Sunday/Monday off. This position may be called upon to fill in when needed.

Job Title: Dispatcher (#397)

Reports to: Administrative Supervisor

Level: Entry/Union/Full-Time

Salary: $57,811

Grade/Step: 14E

Location: 2650 S California/Leighton Courthouse

Bureau: Administrative Services

Division/Unit: Felony Review

Primary Function: To cover dispatch shifts during dispatcher absences/scheduled days off. Dispatch incoming calls to the appropriate Assistant State's Attorneys assigned to the Felony Review Unit and provide administrative support when needed.

Relief Position

Base Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday: 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Sunday/Monday off. ** This position may be called upon to fill in when needed.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Answer, log and update all call information on digital FRU Dispatcher Log Sheets

Dispatch case information to ASAs assigned to that shift

Navigate Search Warrant Power App and digital blue book

Complete the FRU ASA ON-Call roster sheet for the next dispatcher

Dispatch Assistant State's Attorneys to appropriate police area

Responsible for logistics of all FRU fleet cars, Jet Packs, and other electronics used during the shift

Enter ERI data into the database

Monitor lobby entry via call system

Maintain VSI logbook

Maintain State's Attorney's Office work product sheets

Prepare subpoenas, memos, and other correspondence

Conduct CRIMES research when needed to locate case information

Serve as relief dispatcher as needed

Maintain confidentiality of information and systems

Interact regularly with State's Attorney Office employees and personnel of outside agencies

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Required:

The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task

Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications

Preferred

Knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook, TEAMS, Clerks, ICLEAR and CRIMES
